My Experience as a Hispanic Marketing Intern at Nativa

Lillian Martinez2My experience interning with Nativa these past two months has been a great one. When I first applied and got selected I was then thinking about adding marketing as a second major but decided against it. However, being at Nativa has definitely helped me develop important skills that can also be applied to my Supply Chain degree. These past two months I’ve learned to blog, perform data research, talk to clients and utilize social media in a different way. During my time here I’ve helped one of our Bilingual Analysts, Sylvia, find demographic data for a variety of reports for our OYE! social listening platform. While working on these reports, I learned to find important information through Excel that benefit our clients. I’ve also posted a variety of articles and even wrote my first ever blog that was published. On that day I was by far the happiest person on Earth because I knew people would be reading my blog post!

Nativa to Sponsor Collectivo Event: Marketing to Latinos in 2015

A Great Learning Event to Kickoff 2015

Nativa is proud to announce that they will be hosting the next Collectivo event which will be held on January 21, 2015 in Phoenix. The topic of the event is ‘Marketing to Latinos in 2015’ where Nativa’s own Eric Diaz will lead a discussion and activity session about the nuances in Hispanic marketing for the new year. Attendees to this event will be treated to an interactive format where they will participate in activities that teach them the newest trends in Hispanic marketing while maintaining a fun and casual environment.

The anticipation begins for the interactive learning event on January 21st 2015.

Among other topics attendees can expect to learn about:

  1. Arizona Hispanic Millennials – how to reach this group?
  2. The growing total market approach by large brands
  3. Use of Spanglish in Hispanic marketing
  4. Hispanic agencies going mainstream, is 2015 the year?
  5. Which social media channels Hispanics use most

Collectivo – Filling the Hispanic Marketing Education Void in the Phoenix Valley

The Kickoff Event

This Wednesday night was the inaugural event for a new Phoenix area Hispanic marketing networking group named Collectivo.  Nativa has been active in supporting the new group by providing sponsorship for their first two events.

Attendees

Attendance was excellent at the first event; there was approximately 70 people who came to see what the discussion about the new Hispanic marketing group was all about.  The Office Pile coworking space venue was perfect for the event as it allowed people to freely grab an adult beverage and find someone new to converse with in this open environment.

 

Networking

There was great networking to be had at the Collectivo inaugural event.  A diverse crew assembled with a mix of people from all types of professions such as marketing agencies including Santy and Lane Terralever, web agencies like User 10 and Breeze Advantage, and Hispanic marketing professionals from numerous big valley brands and organizations such as …
